Jeff G. Konin, PhD, PT, ATC, FACSM, FNATA
Dr. Konin is President and Founder of PhD420, Inc, and the President of Konin Consulting, LLC both located in Clearwater, FL. Dr. Konin is also a Clinical Professor at Florida International University and the Director of the Doctoral Athletic Training Education Degree Program. He is considered to be one of the leaders in sports medicine having served as an expert consult for medicolegal cases, academic program development, curricular review and assessment, and clinical practice operations. He is also a co-founder of The Rehberg Konin Group and Sport Safety International, firms specializing in providing expert safety advice.
Dr. Konin is an author of over two dozen textbooks and numerous published articles. He is a past recipient of many professional awards and recognitions, and he holds distinguished Fellow status in both the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). In 2019, Dr. Konin earned a Professional Certification in Cannabis from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Dr. Konin has shared his expertise at professional conferences throughout the United States as well as in Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Norway, Romania, England, Netherlands, Spain, and Austria. Dr. Konin is a frequent invited speaker on various cannabis related topics including, but not limited to, “Cannabis & Athletics”, “Cannabis & the Law”, “Cannabis and the Healthcare Provider”, “Cannabis & Concussion”, and “The Role of Cannabis in Rehabilitation”.
Dr. Konin is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the American Physical Therapy Association, American Medical Marijuana Physicians Association, the American Cannabis Nurses Association, the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, and a journal reviewer for Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research.
